Our Overbrook and Carbondale Branches are looking for one Bank Manager to cover both locations.
Our Paola Branch is also looking for one Part-Time Teller.

Bank Manager Position: Monday through Friday (exact hours depend on coverage), and possible Saturday(s) 8am-11am

Open Teller Position: Monday through Friday 1pm-5:30pm and every Saturday from 8:45am-12pm.  Additional hours may be available for coverage needs.

Bank Manager

First Security Bank is looking for an energetic and customer service focused individual who would like to be a member of our dedicated team.  As a community bank, we are focused on supporting our customers and community by providing exceptional customer service and new banking products and services.

Pay based on past relevant experience.

Job Duties

Supervision of customer service staff.

Oversee and coordinate successful branch operations.

Provide training, coaching, and development of staff.

Responsible for business development and community involvement.

Perform all aspects of account opening and maintenance, including personal and business accounts.

Cultivate relationships with customers to aid with their inquiries and/or problem resolution.

Provide education to customers on banking products. Including but not limited to checking, savings, business products, IRA’s, CD’s, debit cards, online banking, mobile banking and ATMs.

Be a backup to teller line when need.  Will perform all aspects of teller duties during that time.

Adhere to policies and procedures, including annual education of regulatory and banking policies, procedures and customer service guidelines.

Maintains customer confidence and protects bank operations by keeping information confidential.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks and performing special projects as needed.

Flexible schedule to include opening or closing, extended hours as needed and could possibly include some Saturday coverage when needed (7:45am to 11am). 

Any additional task or duties assigned.

Customer Service Skills and Qualifications

Leading a team, mentoring junior employees, and providing Officer guidance.

Assist in analyzing financial record, plan and follow a budget.

Displays integrity, passion, commitment, and the ability to provide top-notch customer service that improves our customer’s experience.

Communicates effectively and confidently with all customers and co-workers alike.

Works well with others and collaborates productively to accomplish tasks.

Can manage complexity, prioritize tasks and execute good time management.

Is thorough and provides careful attention to detail.

Will follow established processes and guidelines in daily activities to do what is right for customers and the bank, adhering to all applicable laws and regulations.

Is comfortable asking customers about their financial goals and introducing services and products that will meet their needs.

Is proficient in problem solving, basic computer skills and general math skills.

Enjoys working with the public.

Required:

A minimum of 2 year Banking or Financial experience

Preferred:

A minimum of 2 years of Supervision experience

A minimum of 2 years of Personal Banking experience.

A minimum of 5 total years of banking experience.

Physical Demands

Regular attendance and timeliness are essential functions of this position. While performing this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand for a significant period of time and perform functions that require manual dexterity. The employee must occasionally reach above or below normal body position, stoop or bend, and carry, lift or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds. A normal range of hearing, vision, and speech are required to effectively work with co-employees and members.

Regulatory Compliance and Confidentiality

Follows regulatory and policy compliance requirements, which include those efforts in compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Regulations, Identity Theft Red Flags and other compliance related Policies. This position also requires maintaining confidentiality with regard to non-public information about our customers and First Security Bank.

Part Time Teller

First Security Bank is seeking an energetic, customer service focused individual to join our Paola branch team. As a community bank we are focused on supporting our customers and our community by providing excellent customer service and providing exciting new products.

Job Duties:

Provides account services to customers by handling deposits and loan payments; cashing checks; issuing savings withdrawals; recording night and mail deposits; selling cashier’s checks and money orders; answering questions in person or on the phone; referring to other bank services and members as needed.

Cross-sells bank products by answering inquiries; informing customers of new services and product promotions; ascertaining customers’ needs; directing customers to a branch representative.

Completes special requests by closing accounts; taking orders for checks; providing statements on request, copies and referrals; completing safe-deposit box procedures.

Reconciles cash drawer by proving cash transactions; turning in excess cash and mutilated currency to head teller; maintaining supply of cash and currency.

Complies with bank operations and security procedures by participating in all dual control functions; maintaining customer traffic surveys; auditing other tellers’ and vault currency.

Maintains customer confidence and protects bank operations by keeping information confidential.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related task and projects as needed.

Other tasks as assigned.

Pay Scale $13-$17 hourly based on relevant past experience.
